ARRRGGGH!!! This has to be a pretty frustrating part about the gaming industry. GETTING PEOPLE TO BUY THEM!!! Also another; MAKING THE ACTUAL GAME!!! Especially every little detail in it!
The hardest part in making the game has to be the plot, sprites, enviroment, and stuff like that. You have to make sure it’s perfectly how you want it. Also, you have to be careful not to copy copyright objects.
Another is finding the right software for the game. Online may be faster, and a heck of a lot cheaper, but 1/2 the time, those programs have viruses in them, and they are BAD!!! Although it may be slower and more pricey, it may be worth it in the long run to buy it in the store.
The game i’m trying to make will be an action/adventure genre game, having sound, special effects, and all that (to find out what it’s about, you’ll have to buy the game. If you don’t like it, tough, it’s my game! :P). But plan out EVERYTHING before putting it on the game disk.

Now comes the hard part; finding out how to market your game. I recommend an EBay bid to find out a relative price for your game (make sure to copy it onto more than 1 disk so you can sell more!). When it gets pretty popular (about 500-1,000 buys) you should talk to stores and see if they will let you sell them there.
Those are ways to get around walls!
